Isaiah 40:31 AMPC says: But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
It is still the month of FOCUS. It is the season where we throw away every form of distraction. We discard situations and challenges that want to shift our gaze from the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus.
And although it does not end in this month or this week, today we want to understand a concept. The concept of strength. Recall that Pastor said giving up is not an option; you have to run with persistence and patient endurance. You do not focus on the cares, worries, challenges, or trials of this world; you fix your gaze on Jesus.
However, there is a stance to take while waiting for that end that is full of laughter, joy, and testimony. You do not focus or wait “lazily.” Imagine an athlete running sluggishly. What would be your first thoughts? One of mine would be: how do you expect to win anything this way?
Hence, truly focusing means that you are conscious every day of a supernatural strength at work in you that urges you to run with determination the race that lies before you. You run determined and full of strength. You are not timidly waiting around for a “whatever will be, will be” situation. No, you do not grow weary or tired in mind. You are conscious of the fact that you have more power than you can imagine!
Philippians 2:13 MSG says: That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.
Hallelujah!!!
So, we see that by focusing on Jesus alone, we are not just renewing our strength and power, we are full of God’s energy. Thus, your thoughts, words, and actions reflect this strength. You are constantly saying the right words and thinking the right thoughts. You are constantly fired up, fuelled up, with no downtime, due to situations or not. No! Your stance is one full of strength. Strength of mind that translates to every area of your life.
Glory to God!

My energy is God’s energy! I do not grow weary!
My expectations will not be cut short!

Trust you said that sincerely.
