The Bible says in John 15:4-5 [AMP]:

“Dwell in Me and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

This scripture is one of many that clearly enlightens us that productivity and fruitfulness stems from God alone. We see that we cannot bear fruits except we abide in God because cut off from God, we can do nothing. We can only bear fruit as a branch connected to the vine.

Another scripture that carefully explains the importance of staying with God is in Galatians 3:3. NLT version says
“How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the spirit, why are you now trying to be perfect by your own effort?”.
We see again that our lives must be in tune with the spirit of God to effectively live. “We start in the spirit, we continue in the spirit and we end in the spirit”, Pastor always says. So, since our walk with God, our work for God and fruitfulness in all areas of our lives can only be gotten from God, it makes perfect sense to confidently rely on Him as well.

Furthermore, our man of God says that knowledge that does not affect the way you think is incomplete knowledge. Thus, the knowledge that we start in, continue in, and end with the spirit, must change the way we live and handle situations, it must change the way we view fruitfulness, productivity, and excellence.

One way our attitude and mind would change after understanding this truth is that we begin to rely on and trust in God wholeheartedly. We are eager to hear his instructions always, we are enthusiastic about obeying these instructions. Why? Because we know in the obedience lies the maximizing of our fruitfulness. We, therefore, move from being fruitful as an innate nature to being fruitful as a nature and being fruitful as a visible reality!

To sum up, after realizing that fruitfulness lies in staying connected and trusting daily, we have no excuse than to be fruitful true, and through. Remember, we rely on God ALWAYS to maximize our fruitful nature! Now, make that declaration of sticking with and relying on God no matter what.
