Have you ever come to ask yourself what the secret to having a blissful life is? A life full of celebration. Looking thoroughly at it, our world today isn’t full of roses. It is a mixture of ups and downs, and despite that, there is an instruction given to us from the word of God to be joyful and glad. So, the question here is, how can a man celebrate regardless of his environment, saying the opposite?

Psalm 100:5 says, “For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.” It is important that we continuously understand that everything has its time and season, including tests and hard times. Therefore, whatever it is that happens, they are there just to shape us for the greater good because God is ever faithful to keep his plans and promises. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”  Yes!! He has it all planned out. His ways aren’t our ways, and his thoughts aren’t like ours either. With that, he will make sure he only gives us the best and nothing more. Perhaps we have to be assured that we will get everything planned for us—a glorious life.

Another thing is that we must learn to cultivate the art of thanksgiving. Even the scripture called it a password; thus, it is essential for sons of God to have a grateful heart. This will not only make us see the test as a stepping stone but also help us to have a good and sound relationship with the father even in the worst times. Apart from that, it’s a spiritual activity, just like trust. For it is a way of confirming our belief and trust in him.

Philippians 4:4–7 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Leaving with this note that thanksgiving is never an option for us believers; hence, we should understand that it is a reality we must work in and the key to having a life full of joy and celebrations. Now, quickly reflect on God’s promises and take this opportunity to use the password: THANK YOU, JESUS. Go further and make a joyful shout to him with songs and hymns, beloved.
